Ingredients
- 2 large apples, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in the diced apples gently.
- Using a spoon, drop tablespoon-sized portions of batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fritters are golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.
