Posted on 2025-09-24
A great recipe for beginers!
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 packets chicken gravy mix (about 1 oz each)
- 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
- 1 ½ cups water or chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for extra richness)
- Chopped parsley (for garnish, optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Crockpot:
- Spray your crockpot with non-stick spray or lightly coat with oil to prevent sticking.
- (or use a liner)
- .
- Place the Chicken:
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot. Season them with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder on both sides.
- .
- Mix the Gravy:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the chicken gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, and water (or chicken broth) until well combined and smooth.
- Pour Over Chicken:
- Pour the gravy mixture over the chicken breasts in the crockpot. Ensure the chicken is fully covered by the sauce.
- .
- Cook:
- Cover the crockpot and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4 hours, until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
- Shred or Serve Whole:
- Once the chicken is cooked through, you can either leave the chicken breasts whole or shred them into the gravy using two forks for a pulled-chicken texture.
- Add Butter (Optional):
- For a richer sauce, stir in a tablespoon of butter at the end, allowing it to melt into the gravy.
- .
- Serve:
- Spoon the chicken and gravy over mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles for a comforting meal. Garnish with chopped parsley for added freshness.
