Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Season flank steak with salt and pepper. Grill for 5–7 minutes on each side, or until it reaches your preferred doneness.
  3. Let the steak rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  4. In a bowl, combine cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, then toss gently.
  6. Slice steak thinly against the grain.
  7. Arrange steak on a plate and top with the Caprese mixture.
