
Parmesan Crusted Chicken

Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a shallow dish, mix together the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Place the flour in another shallow dish, and the beaten eggs in a third dish.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, shaking off the excess, then dip it into the beaten eggs, and finally coat it in the Parmesan mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- Heat the olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the crust is crispy.
- Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
