Delicious Cheesy Meat Pockets

Easy to make for lunch or dinner. The kids will love this!
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef (or turkey)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp salt; ¼ tsp pepper
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 1 package puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg, beaten (for wash)
- Optional: 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C); line a baking sheet.
- Sauté onion in a drizzle of olive oil for 3-4 min; add garlic for 1 min.
- Add meat; cook until browned (5-7 min), drain fat, then stir in paprika, salt, & pepper. Let cool slightly, then mix in cheese.
- Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface; cut into 8 squares. Spoon meat mixture onto each square and fold to seal (use egg wash to secure).
- Place on tray, brush tops with egg wash, and bake for 20-25 min until golden. Garnish with parsley if desired.
