Ingredients
- 4 chicken thighs, bone-in and skin-on
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, olive oil, minced garlic, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt until well combined. Place the chicken thighs in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them, ensuring they are well coated. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, reserving the marinade for basting. Grill the chicken thighs skin-side down for about 6-7 minutes, then flip and baste with the reserved marinade. Continue grilling for another 6-7 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) and the skin is golden and crispy. If using an oven, place the chicken in a baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes, basting halfway through.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color. Enjoy the delicious combination of golden char and sticky sweetness!
