
Graham Cracker Toffee Bars

This delicious treat will soon be a family favorite
Ingredients
- 2 sleeves graham crackers
- 1 ¼ cups butter (2 ½ sticks)
- 1 ¼ cups brown sugar
- 2 ½ cups chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
- Arrange graham crackers in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
- In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and bring the mixture to a boil. Allow it to boil gently for 3 minutes, stirring constantly to prevent burning.
- Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Immediately pour the hot toffee mixture evenly over the graham crackers, spreading it out with a spatula.
- Sprinkle the chopped pecans evenly over the toffee layer.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle the mini chocolate chips over the hot toffee. Let them sit for a few minutes until melted, then spread the chocolate evenly over the surface.
- Allow the toffee to cool completely at room temperature before breaking into pieces.
- Tips:
- Use parchment paper for easy removal and clean-up after baking.
- Chill the toffee in the refrigerator after it cools to speed up the setting process.
