
Stir-Fried Asparagus with Shrimp Recipe

A hearty meal for invited guests or just your family.
Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 1-inch pieces
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
Instructions
- Prepare the Shrimp: In a bowl, marinate the shrimp with a pinch of salt, white pepper, and a teaspoon of cooking oil. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Blanch Asparagus: Bring a pot of water to a boil. Blanch the asparagus for 1-2 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. Drain and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and white pepper. Mix well and set aside.
- Stir-Fry: Heat the remaining cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant.
- Cook Shrimp: Add the shrimp and stir-fry until they turn pink and are almost cooked through.
- Add Vegetables: Add the sliced mushrooms and stir-fry until softened.
- Combine: Add the blanched asparagus to the wok. Pour in the sauce and stir-fry until the sauce thickens and coats all the ingredients evenly.
- Serve: Transfer to a serving dish and serve immediately. Enjoy hot
