Easy Parmesan Chicken Pasta

Ingredients
- For the Chicken:
- 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts (sliced or pounded thin)
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- For the Parmesan Pasta Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1/4 cup pasta water (optional, to thin sauce if needed)
- For the Pasta:
- 12 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
- Extra Parmesan cheese for topping
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions in salted water. Drain and set aside, reserving 1/4 cup of pasta water.
- In a shallow bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Dredge chicken in flour mixture to coat.
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken 4–5 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove from skillet and let rest.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes. Pour in heavy cream and stir in Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes until thickened.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat. If needed, add pasta water to loosen the sauce.
- Slice chicken and serve over creamy Parmesan pasta. Garnish with parsley and more Parmesan. Serve hot!
