
Crockpot Cranberry Orange Glazed Chicken

A hearty meal the entire family will enjoy for dinner
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 1/2 cup orange juice
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Zest of one orange
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of your slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, combine the cranberries, orange juice, honey, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Pour the cranberry mixture over the chicken in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 4-5 hours, or until the chicken is tender and cooked through.
- Once the chicken is done, remove it from the slow cooker and set aside.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
- Pour the slurry into the sauce in the slow cooker and stir well.
- Turn the slow cooker to high and let the sauce thicken for about 10 minutes.
- Return the chicken to the slow cooker and coat it with the thickened sauce.
- Sprinkle the orange zest over the chicken before serving.
